our story
In the summer of 2022, we took over La Douce Montagne with a shared dream: to shape a welcoming mountain hotel where our passions meet those of our guests.
Together with our sons Tijn and Sverre, we settled in the picturesque village of Allemond in the French Alps, drawn by the beauty of the landscape and the spirit of outdoor life.
Cycling, trail running, hiking and winter sports are at the heart of what we love and what we enjoy sharing. Our hotel, restaurant, bar is the perfect base to explore legendary mountain passes in summer and vast ski areas in winter.
We look forward to welcoming you soon and helping you make the most of your stay in the Alps.

our team
Our team is small, dedicated and deeply connected to the mountains around Allemond. We believe in personal attention and a warm, easy-going atmosphere, a cosy place where you’ll feel at home right away.
After work, you’ll often find us outdoors, and we’re always happy to share local tips, routes and recommendations with our guests.
We mainly speak French and English, and some of us also speak Dutch or German.
