Triathlon & Duathlon Alpe d’Huez
Duathlon: August 3 · Triathlon L: August 5 · Triathlon M: August 6, 2026
Three days, one legendary mountain
The Triathlon and Duathlon of Alpe d’Huez are among the most spectacular multi-sport events in the Alps. The Triathlon L, the flagship race, combines 2.2 km of open-water swimming in the crystal-clear Lac du Verney, 118 km of cycling through the mountain passes of the Oisans, and a 19 km trail run at altitude , finishing with the iconic 21 hairpin bends of Alpe d'Huez.
The shorter Triathlon M offers the same thrills over a 1.5 km swim, 28 km ride and 6.4 km run. Prefer no swimming? The Duathlon kicks off with a 6.5 km run, followed by a 15 km climb to Alpe d’Huez, and finishes with a 5.5 km run at the summit. A race that stays with you forever.
