La Marmotte Granfondo
The Queen of Alpine Cyclosportives
La Marmotte Granfondo is one of the most legendary cyclosportive events in the world. Every year, thousands of cyclists from across Europe and beyond, take on one of the most demanding routes in the Alps: 174 km, over 5,000 metres of elevation gain, crossing four legendary cols: the Glandon, the Télégraphe, the Galibier, before the final mythical climb to Alpe d'Huez.
This is not just a race. It’s a personal challenge, a bucket-list moment for any serious cyclist. La Douce Montagne is the perfect base camp, located in Allemond, near the famous Alpe d’Huez 21 hairpin bends.
For La Marmotte, La Douce Montagne offers a fully tailored stay designed to meet the needs of both competitive cyclists and their supporters.
